Tom's academic background includes a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development. He worked at Stanford’s prestigious Bing Nursery School for ten years, supporting children, psychology students, and parents.

Tom has been a parent educator and coach since his first parenting book was published in 2012. He is able to apply his experience as a social/emotional lead at K-8 schools to the thousands of families he has worked with.
